Crash Team Racing is a racing video game developed by Naughty Dog and publishedby Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. The game was released in North America on September 30, 1999 in Europe and Australia later the same year. It was re-released for the Sony Greatest Hits line-up in 2000 and the Platinum Rangeon January 12, 2001. He then added to the European PlayStation store on October 18, 2007, then on the Japanese store on June 11, 2008 and then finally to North American stores on August 10, 2010.
Crash Team Racing is the fourth installment in the Crash Bandicoot series. It is the first Crash Bandicoot game in the racing genre and the last Crash Bandicoot game to be developed by Naughty Dog. The game's story focuses on the efforts ragtag team of characters in the Crash Bandicoot series, who must race against the egomaniacal nitros Oxide to save their planet from destruction. In the game, players can take control of one of fifteen Crash Bandicoot series characters, though only eight are available at first. During the race, increasing the speed and offensive power ups can be used to gain an advantage.
Crash Team Racing was praised by critics for its gameplay and graphics, although audio met with mixed opinions. A direct sequel, Crash Nitro Kart, released in 2003 for PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, Xbox, Game Boy Advance and N Gage.
Accident and his friends are preparing to enter the kart racing tournament. Unfortunately, an extraterrestrial named nitros oxide and traveling to Earth to compete. He claimed to be the fastest driver in the entire Galaxy, the journey of looking for creatures to test his skills. Lso, Oxide challenge them to a race he called "Survival Of The Fastest" and explained the rules: Oxide race against the best riders on the Earth. If Earth's driver wins, Oxide promised to leave the earth itself (which he calls a sad little rock). But if Oxide wins, he pledged to turn the whole world into a concrete parking lot and made a slave inhabitants forever. For race racer Earth Oxides needed to prove their worth by collecting all 16 Cup (4 at a time) then the race and beat Ripper Roo, Papu Papu, Komodo Joe and Pinstripe Potorooto get 4 Boss Keys. Finally, when the Earth racers have completed this task, Oxide challenging drivers to race for the planet. Racers earth is to win, but despite Oxide said that he would leave the earth alone, he stated that the Earth racers can never claim them unless they collect all the fastest Relics, and race Oxide again. After collecting 20 wins 5 CTR Tokens and Gems, the player confronts Oxide again with all 18 Relics time, and this time they compete for the title. Racers earth was declared the winner and the fastest. Oxide admit defeat like a sore loser and eventually leave the earth forever, never Gasmoxia heading back home.
